Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs

Responsible for development of the state's interest in the areas of the arts, history, and other cultural matters. Develops policy to promote awareness of local history; stimulates and encourages performing & fine arts; implements tourism-related art and history projects; encourages the use of volunteers especially for restoring books and manuscripts.
